Studying German-Turkish Law in Turkey

German-Turkish Law Program: A Bridge to Academic and Professional Excellence Across Cultures

Altınbaş University offers a German-Turkish Law program, a unique field that gives students an exceptional opportunity to practice law in both Germany and Turkey without the need for degree equivalency procedures. The program is distinguished by its collaboration with the University of Cologne, one of Germany’s largest and most prestigious universities, ensuring a high-level educational and professional experience.

Students begin their studies at the University of Cologne for two years, where they study German law and benefit from Germany’s rich culture. They then transfer to Altınbaş University to continue their studies in Turkish law for an additional two years. Upon completion of the program, students receive dual degrees from both universities, giving them a significant competitive advantage in the international job market.

The German-Turkish Law program aims to graduate a new generation of qualified legal professionals with scientific research and critical thinking skills, in addition to an in-depth understanding of international law. The program serves as a bridge to academic and professional excellence across cultures and promotes understanding and cooperation between peoples and legal systems.

Turkish-German Dual Degree Law Program: An Educational and Cultural Journey Through the Centuries

The Turkish-German Dual Degree Law Program, offered by the University of Cologne in cooperation with Altınbaş University, is an exceptional opportunity for students who wish to practice law in both Turkey and Germany without the need for additional degree equivalency procedures.

Students complete the first four semesters of the program at the Faculty of Law at the University of Cologne over two years, where they study German law and benefit from Germany’s history and culture, which spans more than 600 years. They then move to Altınbaş University in Istanbul to complete the final two years, where they deepen their studies in Turkish law.

This program enables students to obtain two degrees from both universities, providing them with extensive opportunities in the international job market. In addition, the program aims to pave the way for joint academic work on Turkish and German legal systems and to build a new generation of skilled and well-educated legal professionals equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for critical thinking and scientific research.
