Çağ University in Turkey (Çağ Üniversitesi) was established in 1997. It is a private, non-profit educational institution located in the suburbs of the İçel region in Mersin. Çağ Üniversitesi is a coeducational institution officially accredited and/or recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK – Yükseköğretim Kurulu). It is a small coeducational university with an enrollment of approximately 5,000 to 5,999 students.

Çağ Üniversitesi offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees, certificates, diplomas, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in various fields of study.

At the time of its establishment, the university included the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Vocational School, English Preparatory School, Institute of Social Sciences, and Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences.

Later, under Ministerial Decree No. 97/10212 dated June 11, 1997, the Faculty of Law was established. Çağ University became the first higher education institution in the Mediterranean Çukurova region, an area known for its natural beauty, history, and culture. This is reflected in its modern campus, academic staff, and quality of education.

In 2005, the university’s campus area was expanded to 470,000 square meters.
