Çağ University in Turkey (Çağ Üniversitesi) was established in 1997. It is a private, non-profit educational institution located in the suburbs of the İçel region in Mersin. Çağ Üniversitesi is a coeducational institution officially accredited and/or recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK – Yükseköğretim Kurulu). It is a small coeducational university with an enrollment of approximately 5,000 to 5,999 students.

Later, under Ministerial Decree No. 97/10212 dated June 11, 1997, the Faculty of Law was established. In 2005, the university’s campus area was expanded to 470,000 square meters.
